Monitoring planning policy

The Annual Monitoring Report is part of the Local Plan. It states:

  • the progress we have made each year in creating the Local Plan
  • how we are actually delivering the policies

For example, if a policy is about developing land for employment in the National Park, the report will state how much land has been developed for employment over a period of time.

Annual Monitoring Reports

These  explain our approach for the future. We rely on the support and information from other organisations who work in the National Park to help with monitoring.

We will publish reports online in January each year.

Other elements

The Annual Monitoring Report is about the monitoring of planning policies. How we work with organisations to monitor and measure other elements of the National Park is covered in our report.

Five year housing land supply

Each year we are required to identify and update enough specific deliverable sites to provide five years' worth of housing. This is found in the most recent Annual Monitoring Report.
