Filming permissions

The beautiful scenery of the Lake District has inspired production companies and filmmakers to use it as a dramatic backdrop for countless films and TV series.

To obtain filming permission in the Lake District National Park, you need to contact the relevant landowner. You can find out more about who owns the Lake District on our land ownership in the Lake District page.
