Our small team has been working remotely throughout the pandemic and providing a full range of planning services. Over recent months the capacity of the team has been very significantly reduced by caring responsibilities as a result of schools being closed and for various medical reasons unrelated to the pandemic.
We are suspending discretionary services in order to safeguard the core statutory decision making function. We will assess and decide applications, taking into account views we receive, as normal. We will continue to take enforcement action when it is in the public interest, although many new investigations will take significantly longer than usual.
We want to provide high quality services at all times - please see What can you expect from us?. If you feel any aspect of our service has been at fault we want to know about it and investigate. A complaint can be any dissatisfaction you, or other members of the public, experience about the standard of a service we provide.
There are more details of our complaints policy and a complaints form in Complaints, comments and feedback.
