A spokesperson for the Lake District National Park Authority said: “Trail hunting on land owned by the Lake District National Park Authority has been suspended since November 2020. This followed legal proceedings against a member of the Hunting Office, which concluded this week.
“We will now take time to consider our next steps as a landowner and National Park Authority, and trail hunting licences will remain suspended for this season (2021/22).”
