Elterwater Quarry Planning Application

6 September, 2023

A LDNPA spokesperson commented: “At the Lake District National Park Authority’s Development Control Committee today, members voted four to three to refuse an application for Elterwater quarry slate caverns to be developed for heritage tourism. This was due to concerns over the submitted travel plan not yet being developed enough and the harm of possible vehicle usage not being outweighed by benefits."
