This approach ensured we can continue to best support local communities, visitors, and businesses.

If you’re planning to visit by campervan or motorhome, please plan your journey and book your site in advance as staying overnight on roadside or car parks is not permitted.

Please know your own capabilities on the water and do not place yourself or others at risk.
Our lake rangers are patrolling to support people’s safe enjoyment of the water and will enforce as necessary where there are clear breaches of the byelaws that impact on safety or have negative environmental impacts.
Please be aware of the byelaws and report any breaches to our lake ranger team

We all have a part to play in keeping the countryside special. Please leave no trace by taking litter home.
In 2020 we formed the Safer Lakes initiative. This is a combination of dedicated National Park Authority officers and more than 100 volunteers who report issues and provide assistance to communities across the National Park, together with a range of local partner agencies.
