The Lake District National Park’s guided walks and navigation programme is delivered entirely by volunteers.  This fantastic bunch of people with a passion for the Lake District guide more than 2,000 people in the valleys and on the fells every year, sharing their incredible local knowledge along the way.

These volunteers are experienced fell walkers with a huge range of experience. In addition to the wealth of experience they bring with them, all our guided walk and navigation leaders go through a comprehensive training programme.

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular valleys, summits and lakes of this World Heritage site therefore we will continue to provide some free and affordable experiences.

You can continue to help people discover the Lake District and help us look after this special place by donating today.

Whatever you can contribute today will help keep the Lake District National Park special tomorrow.
