Navigation and map reading courses

Whatever kind of walking you do, having a basic understanding of how to use a map and a compass can give you a feeling of confidence when out on the fells, especially as weather can change very quickly in the Lake District! It can be easy to lose your way, even when following paths. Our basic navigation courses are run out in the fells, giving you a great introduction on learning how to navigate.

You can choose from our mixed group sessions, sessions for women only or family rambles to get your little ones excited about walking in the fells safely.
