Ullswater Information Centre

The Lake District National Park's Information Centre in Glenridding, is open from March to November to help you make the most of your visit.   Pop in for local products, guides and advice from our friendly team.

Opening times

April - October the centre is open from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. each day.
November - March the centre is open in the winter from 9.30 a.m to 3.30 p.m. weekends only.

Getting here

Ullswater Information Centre is on bus route 508 operated by Stagecoach, which runs from Penrith so connections at the rail station to Pooley Bridge, Glenridding and Patterdale all year round, extending over Kirkstone Pass to  Windermere and Bowness in summer. The bus stop is in the car park, just 100 yards from the information centre.

Ullswater Steamers run the scenic length of the lake from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding Pier (which is just 100m from the information centre) all year round, with drop-off points at How Town and Aira Force.
