We are welcoming visitors back to the Lake District. We are working with our local partners to put measures in place that will help keep people safe.
Our page lakedistrict.gov.uk/coronavirus has a message from our Chief Executive, how the latest coronavirus rules apply across the National Park, updates on our attractions and services, and how you can contact us.
Electric cars are a great, sustainable way to get around the Lake District National Park. You can hire an electric car from Lake District railway locations, and there are lots of charging points across the area so you can travel around the whole National Park.
Check zap-map.com for locations, types and prices of charge points, and a useful journey planner to calculate distances and costs.
We have 4 charging points in our car parks, in dedicated bays, where you can pay-as-you-go for your charge.
Our chargers are provided by Pod Point, who have an app that allows you to see if the charge point is free before you arrive and pay-as-you-go for your charge.
The income we receive when you use our car park charging points, goes towards keeping the Lake District landscape special for future generations.
