Bus route 508 operated by Stagecoach, runs from Penrith so connections at the rail station to Pooley Bridge, Glenridding and Patterdale all year round, extending over Kirkstone Pass to Windermere and Bowness in summer. The bus stop is in the car park, just 100 yards from the information centre.
