We produce a series of colourful leaflets of some popular routes. You can buy large colour copies from our Information Centre or print them out from this website for free:

Friars Crag and Castlehead Walk (PDF)

5 km or 3.1 miles, 2 hours, Easy grade
A short but revealing walk.

Castlerigg Walk (PDF)

6 km or 3.7 miles , 2 - 3 hours, Moderate grade
A pleasant walk through town and country.

Walla Crag and Ashness Bridge Walk (PDF)

9 km or 5.5 miles, 3 - 4 hours, Moderate grade
A long but gradual ascent to an outstanding viewpoint over Derwentwater.

Derwent Walk (PDF)

13 km or 8.1 miles, 5 - 6 hours, Easy grade
Long but leisurely stroll around the shores of Derwentwater.

Catbells and Newland Walk (PDF)

13 km or 8.1 miles, 5 - 7 hours plus waiting time for launch, Strenuous grade
A challenging walk on popular fells.

Walking and cycling Keswick Railway Path (PDF) (Closure due to flood damage)

Up to 10 km or 6.2 miles but can doubleback at any point.
Superb views of the surrounding fells and woods.
