When the time is right, we look forward to welcoming visitors back to the Lake District. We are working with our local partners to put measures in place that will help keep people safe.
Our page lakedistrict.gov.uk/coronavirus has a message from our Chief Executive, how the latest coronavirus rules apply across the National Park, updates on our attractions and services, and how you can contact us.
Did you know that Coniston Water is the third largest lake in the Lake District. It is five miles long, half a mile wide, has a maximum depth of 184 feet, and covers an area of 1.89 square miles…
So there’s definitely plenty of space to take to the lake by boat and feel the wind in your hair. At Coniston Boating Centre, we have motor boats, rowing boats, sit on top kayaks, open top Canadian canoes, paddle boards and sailing dinghies.
If you prefer your feet firmly on dry land, we might be Coniston Boating Centre by name but we have bikes too. Whizz through the fantastic scenery by mountain bike, or one of our fat tyre electric bikes!
Book your boat hire online. All profits go back into the National Park, helping us to look after this special place.
