Activities, events and walks in the Lake District

Coronavirus update:

Updated: 12 June 2020

Our guided walk program is currenlty suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Lake District once its safe for us all to be out there again.

If you have a walk booked for this spring or summer, we will be cancelling and refunding our guided walks. We have so far refunded all walks up until the end of June. You can email us at for any queries about bookings and refunds.

Our walks are run by our wonderful volunteers, keeping them and you safe is our main priority. As soon as we have details on when we may be restarting our walks, we will post information here.

There are lots of events and activities happening in the National Park celebrating local culture, wildlife, scenery and much more. From fabulous family days out to high fell hikes. Events take place across the National Park so no matter where you are, you'll find something nearby.
