Getting outside for exercise is of course important, but please don't take any unnecessary risks, especially in the cold and icy weather.
By staying safe and staying local you can help reduce the pressure on our emergency services.
Help keep our emergency staff and hospital beds free for those that need them most.

We have sadly taken the decsion to cancel all of our 2020 guided walk and navigation course program.
Our walks are run by our wonderful volunteers, keeping them and you safe is our main priority. We are hoping to bring back our walks for the 2021 season.
There are lots of events and activities happening in the National Park celebrating local culture, wildlife, scenery and much more. From fabulous family days out to high fell hikes. Events take place across the National Park so no matter where you are, you'll find something nearby.
Our guided walks normally run from April to October each year.
Our winter skills courses normally run from December to April each year.
We love helping people to enjoy the National Park, and we're thrilled so many people enjoy our guided walks!
