It is important that we follow government advice and stay at home. The Lake District National Park Authority car parks are now closed. They will remain only for use by our local communities, in populated areas for essential functions – such as attending GP appointments or for essential shopping.

    Walk up Mires Beck, see complete views of Ullswater and the drama of Red Tarn. Reach the Wainwright peak of Catstycam before descending back to Glenridding.

    Take the steamer from Glenridding to the legendary Aira Force waterfalls and to the site of Wordsworth's golden daffodils. Lovely level walk back. In partnership with Wordsworth Grasmere.     Walk in Wainwright's footsteps on this circular walk up, over and around High Rigg in St John's-in-the-Vale, with panoramic views. Car park is 0.5km on the left from junction of A591 and B5322.
