It is important that we follow government advice and stay at home. The Lake District National Park Authority car parks are now closed. They will remain only for use by our local communities, in populated areas for essential functions – such as attending GP appointments or for essential shopping.
A circular hike on one of Lakeland's most iconic horseshoe routes. Stunning views on a clear day.
A walk is graded based on a combination of length, duration, terrain, total ascent and highest point.Long, full-day mountain walks of 10 – 16 km (6 – 12 miles). Expect sustained, occasionally very steep ascents and descents over loose, slippery rocky ground. Possibly some scrambling. A high level of fitness and stamina is needed. If in doubt, we strongly recommend trying a hard grade walk first. Not suitable for children with limited experience of fell walking.
For more details check our list of what to wear and bring. There’s more information in our FAQs to help make the most of your time.
If we have to cancel a walk we will post a notice of cancellation on the listing.
