The Government advises that extended policies should be read in context. In cases where policies were adopted some time ago, other factors may be taken into account in making planning decisions.
In August 2016 the Lake District National Park was extended. In the extension areas, we continue to use the adopted development plan documents of South Lakeland District Council and Eden District Council
In addition to South Lakeland District Council Saved Policies continue to be adopted within the National Park extension areas.
