Any other interests/ committees?

Chess, scrabble, old buildings, history of any sort, churches, food (both eating and cooking), trying to solve local intractable problems and issues.  I love walking my dogs.  Pub quizzes, conversation around a table with food, wine and friends.  Travel almost anywhere, the more obscure and farther removed from the UK the better.  Other than Cumbria County Council and Keswick Town Council committees, I help set up and am Chair of Keswick Community Asset Company which preserved and owns the public toilets in Keswick.  I also Chair the Battersby Hall Charity, which is an educational charity that also owns the Moot Hall in Keswick.

What’s your favourite sport?

Rock climbing by a country mile.  Fell running was also a passion in my early years!
