Lake District National Park Authority volunteers are back this spring with a refreshed range of guided walks that offer something for everyone. Returning this weekend (2 April), the volunteer-led guided walks programme is now 57 years old and provides safe, informative access to the National Park for hundreds of visitors every year.

New Lake District habitat conservation officers are up for green recovery challenge

The Lake District National Park Authority has recruited two new Habitat Restoration and Conservation Officers to deliver a wide range of environmental education at the Authority’s Visitor Centre, Brockhole and improve habitats within the grounds.

Lake District farming fund success – with more to come in 2022

Almost £600,000 has already been allocated in the Lake District as part of a national grants programme to help local farmers and landowners adapt for the future, become more resilient and deliver bigger and better outcomes for the environment, people and place.
