Authority Meetings and Standing Committees are now open to the public to attend in person in line with Government measures to manage the Covid-19 pandemic, for the non-confidential agenda items of the formal published agendas. Should you wish to attend in person, prior notice of attendance by members of the public or press should be given in advance of any meeting to the Member Services Coordinator on 01539 792637 or to Heather.McClure@lakedistrict.gov.uk in order for the Authority to safely manage numbers attending. All meetings will continue to be livestreamed to the public, and the link to join will be detailed on the individual Committee webpage.
The agenda and papers for the meetings are available to the public five working days prior to the meeting. They can be downloaded from the relevant meeting page or viewed at the Authority's offices in Kendal. The only exceptions are those agenda items which would infringe copyright or would not be dealt with in public for reasons of confidentiality.
We make a recording of each Committee meeting apart from those agenda items which would infringe copyright or would not be dealt with in public for reasons of confidentiality. If you wish to have access to a recording, please contact HQ@lakedistrict.gov.uk stating the name and date of the meeting you wish to listen to. All requests for a copy of the recording are dealt with under the Freedom of Information procedure and timescale.

At the a meeting of full Authority on 25 March, members agreed the delegations set out in the report– Annex 1 .
In short, for Authority, Park Strategy and Vision, Resources and Governance committee meetings will remain in the diary. Decisions of these committees will be made by the Chief Executive in consultation with the Authority Chairman, Deputy Chairman of Authority, Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the relevant Committee, members of the relevant Committee and taking into account the views of the relevant officers.
Development Control and Rights of Way Committee meetings will now proceed in accordance with the usual timetable.
This delegation will continue until such time as normal business can resume or legislation is enacted to permit remote meetings to take place.
