Authority Meetings and Standing Committees are now open to the public to attend in person in line with Government measures to manage the Covid-19 pandemic, for the non-confidential agenda items of the formal published agendas. All meetings will continue to be livestreamed to the public, and the link to join will be detailed on the individual Committee webpage.
The agenda and papers for the meetings are available to the public five working days prior to the meeting. They can be downloaded from the relevant meeting page or viewed at the Authority's offices in Kendal. The only exceptions are those agenda items which would infringe copyright or would not be dealt with in public for reasons of confidentiality.
We make a recording of each Committee meeting apart from those agenda items which would infringe copyright or would not be dealt with in public for reasons of confidentiality. If you wish to have access to a recording, please contact HQ@lakedistrict.gov.uk stating the name and date of the meeting you wish to listen to. All requests for a copy of the recording are dealt with under the Freedom of Information procedure and timescale.
For details about how to attend and speak at Committee meetings, please read Public speaking at Committee meetings (Word document). This should be read together with the Process for public speaking at Development Control Committee if you want to make speak about a planning application being considered by Development Control Committee.
