Salary: £10.66 p/h including holiday pay

What’s it like to work here?

2021 was a record breaking year for Brockhole on Windermere, the Lake District Visitor Centre, and we are now expanding our offer even further. We are therefore seeking enthusiastic, energetic and friendly person (16yrs +) to join our fantastic kitchen team.

We are the main visitor centre for the Lake District National Park, with 300k visitors a year, and our gorgeous Arts and Crafts House is set in 30 acres of landscaped gardens on the shores of Lake Windermere – what’s not to love!

You don’t need to have previous kitchen experience, as we will provide full training, but you do need to want to learn and be willing to work hard.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Washing dishes efficiently within a busy kitchen environment and keeping all breakages to a minimum.
  • Completing a daily cleaning rota and keeping written records as appropriate.
  • Emptying of bins and waste as necessary.
  • Assisting with putting delivery orders away and maintaining tidy storage area.
  • Performing any other related duties that may be required by your manager or supervisor.

  • You will be physically fit.
  • You will be able to adapt in a fast changing environment.
  • You will be a team player and have a can-do attitude
  • Experience is not essential as full training will be given.
