Have you got experience of upland path repair and maintenance and coordinating contractors, volunteers and staff to deliver practical work? If so we would love to hear from you. This exciting role involves coordinating and overseeing an ambitious upland path maintenance programme in the Lake District National Park, Fix the Fells, to improve and prevent deterioration of key routes in the national park.
You will coordinate the activity of partners, volunteers, contractors, staff and communities to deliver high quality practical works on specific upland paths across the Lake District National Park. To repair erosion, protect the landscape and environment, maintain access, and increase upland path resilience.
The Lake District National Park is England’s largest World Heritage Site, inscribed due to its outstanding universal values of Identity, Inspiration and Conservation. You will be based at our Northern Office, located near Keswick, but you will be working throughout the national park on occasional weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to confidently demonstrate your passion to a range of audiences. You'll have a high level of fitness and previous successful track record in project management.
