Brockhole on Windermere have started on a long term transformational programme of developments, particularly in its café and restaurant offer, having already opened the much acclaimed Gaddum Restaurant and the hugely popular Garden Shed Café. We are now working towards the next phase of developments – including rebuilding our historic kitchen garden, a new World Heritage exhibition, and some great new meeting rooms.
We are now looking for key members of our new and ambitious team to join us to help create an exceptional customer experience at our stunning Lake District Visitor Centre on Lake Windermere.
The site includes the beautiful Gibson designed Brockhole House, a great Arts and Crafts villa set in 30 acres of stunning Thomas Mawson designed, listed gardens, on the shores of Lake Windermere. With the Lake District now a designated World Heritage Site, this is a great opportunity to make a significant contribution to the main visitor centre for the Lake District, currently visited by over 300,000 people per year.
We have an existing busy main family café, and two great seasonal catering cabins in the grounds, plus new for 2018 was The Gaddum - a fully refurbished Arts & Crafts restaurant, which offers high quality afternoon teas, light lunches and evening meals from May to September (with the possibility of a winter evening offer). The Gaddum has opened to rave reviews and customer feedback and is a stunning addition to our offer.
This role presents a great opportunity to demonstrate and develop your skills and experience in the catering and hospitality industry, whilst earning good money in beautiful surroundings. The posts will suit both those with some team leading experience or those wishing to take the next step.
Brockhole sits in one of the most stunning locations in the country, and has been developing its historic house, gardens, public offer and staff team to match. If you would like to make a difference and make a contribution to this fantastic location, have the right attitude and experience, matched with a friendly, outgoing and helpful personality and the ability to deliver exceptional quality food and/or service, then we would love to hear from you.
