Brockhole on Windermere are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and experienced person for the role of Cafés Supervisor for our very busy cafés at Brockhole on Windermere, the Lake District Visitor Centre. This is initially a fixed term post until January 2022, with the possibility of a permanent contract following that period, for the right person and business demand dependent.
You will need to have previous similar experience, as you will be helping to manage the varied food and beverage offer on this beautiful site, supervising, and also being a hands-on member of the team.
Brockhole on Windermere has started on a long term transformational programme of developments, particularly in its café and restaurant offer, having already opened the much acclaimed Gaddum Restaurant (2018) and the hugely popular Garden Shed Café & BBQ (2019), we are now working towards the next phase of developments.
We have an existing busy main family, fully seated café, and two great seasonal take away cabins in the grounds. In 2018 we opened The Gaddum - a fully refurbished Arts & Crafts restaurant, which offers high quality afternoon teas and lunches with some evening events. We have enjoyed very positive reviews about all of cafés and restaurant, and are in the middle of a record breaking year.
This role, focussing on the café offer, presents a great opportunity to demonstrate and develop your skills and experience in the catering and hospitality industry, whilst earning good money in beautiful surroundings. You will be supervising the staff team, ensuring all cafés are managed efficiently and effectively, opening/closing, and ordering stock.
The post will suit someone who is ambitious, with boundless energy and enthusiasm who wants to work hard, develop their career in catering and hospitality, and help this fast growing business.
