We’re looking for a full time Catering Assistant to join our diverse and friendly team to deliver excellent customer service to our visitors to our café and on-site outlets at Brockhole. This is a year-round, permanent position which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills, including supporting our seasonal casual staff all whilst enjoying our package of employee benefits and an amazing p[lace to work.
Brockhole on Windermere is located between Windermere and Ambleside on the shores of Lake Windermere in the heart of the Lake District National Park. We are a not-for-profit attraction run by the Lake District National Park Authority. All profits go towards keeping it special for future generations.
It's a beautiful place to work and you'll be welcomed by our committed and passionate teams based around Brockhole which include Brockhole House, our listed gardens, wildlife areas and the Lakeshore Adventure Activity area.
The Catering team work across Brockhole Café and the takeaway outlets, The Garden Shed and Lakeshore Café. You’ll be working at all these locations, so there’ll be plenty of variety in your day. We are popular with families and groups who have been on activities such as Tree Top Treks, or paddleboarding looking for quality lunches and cakes.
Our cafes and outlets close at about 5.30pm in the summer and earlier in the winter. Whatsmore, there’ll be no split shifts, so you can enjoy evenings!

You don’t need to have previous experience, as we will provide full training and support, but you do need to want to learn, be willing to work hard and to serve customers with enthusiasm and a smile.
