If you haven't discovered the wonderful Ullswater Valley in the Lake District then the annual Ullswater Outdoor Fest is the perfect way to experience this stunning place. Enjoy nine days of guided walks, outdoor adventure, films and talks at various locations in this beautiful world class location.
All the guided walks are led by experienced and knowledgeable volunteer walk leaders who will guide you to some spectacular viewpoints. There are 12 fantastic routes to choose from. Discover magnificent Helvellyn or spot deer on the Martindale hike. For a gentler walk join us on the Wordsworth walk and learn about one of England's most famous poets.
The road to Greenside Mine
Once again, our friends at Ullswater Steamers are offering hikers on our boat walks the fantastic price of just £1 to cruise across the lake. This special fare only applies to the festival walks listed below so book early to avoid disappointment.
To keep you safe on the fells we run regular basic navigations courses. During the festival there's the popular women only course and a chance for all to practise your hill skills. These fun, informal sessions take place on the fellside so you can test your new found knowledge straight away!

You can find all other guided walks and navigations courses on our website. Activities run until end of October but we're busy putting the 2018 programme together and will have the listings live before the Christmas break.
