There are endless combinations of walks around Keswick, Derwentwater and Borrowdale.

Friars Crag and Castlehead Walk (PDF)

A short but revealing walk.

A pleasant walk through town and country.

Walla Crag and Ashness Bridge Walk (PDF)

A long but gradual ascent to an outstanding viewpoint over Derwentwater.

Latrigg Walk (PDF)

10 km or 6.2 miles, 3 - 4 hours, Moderate grade
A long and gradual climb to a fine viewpoint of Keswick.

Derwent Walk (PDF)

13 km or 8.1 miles, 5 - 6 hours, Easy grade
Long but leisurely stroll around the shores of Derwentwater.

Catbells and Newland Walk (PDF)

13 km or 8.1 miles, 5 - 7 hours plus waiting time for launch, Strenuous grade
A challenging walk on popular fells.

Keswick Railway Path - walking and cycling

The Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Path was damaged in the 2015 December floods and around half of the route is currently closed. For the latest information and alternative routes, please visit the Keswick Railway web page.
