Check out our Water section or just head to Coniston Boating Centre, where you can hire motor boats, sailing dinghies, rowing boats, kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. You can also hire rowing boats, kayaks, canoes and paddle boards from Brockhole Lakeshore.

Tree top adventures

The Lake District is packed with great aerial courses high up in the tree canopy.

Tree Top Trek and Nets (opens in new window) overlooking Windermere is suitable for five year olds and upwards. There's also Go Ape at Whinlatter and Grizedale (opens in new window).
