We aim to make your visit enjoyable, whatever your needs.

If you're looking for routes suitable for wheelchairs, buggies or for those who find walking a challenge, there are more than 40 Miles Without Stiles routes across the National Park.

The Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole (opens in new window) has many facilities to help make your visit as comfortable and accessible as possible.

Electric wheelchair accessible boat available at Coniston Boating Centre. Specifically adapted with moveable ramp to accommodate up to six wheelchair users. Top speed of six mph. Perfect for wheelchair anglers.

Events

Many of our events are suitable for those with limited mobility, the visually-impaired or the hearing-impaired. We also have events suitable for wheelchair users. Please take a look at our Events section. There are tickboxes to narrow down events to those suitable for those with limited mobility, the visually impaired and /or wheelchair users on our Events search.

Blue badge holder spaces for disabled users

All our car parks have blue badge holder spaces - please display your blue badge. Our charges apply to all vehicles, including blue badge holders. However we do allow an extra hour for blue badge holders. In order to qualify, please fill in the form below:
