These walking and cycling routes are designed so you don't have to retrace your steps. The routes are in the south of the National Park, around Bowness, Hawkshead, Coniston and Grizedale.

Walking on Water walk - 2 miles - up to 1 and a half hours plus 20 minutes boat ride

Tarn It! walk - 5 miles - up to 3 and a half hours
Enjoy breathtaking scenery as you walk from High Cross to Coniston by way of Tarn Hows.
Windermere Wheeling cycle - 5 miles - up to 2 hours
A family cycle ride along the shores of Windermere, off road through the forest of Claife.
Claife Heights Potter walk - 6 miles - up to 4 hours
A walk taking in Beatrix Potter's house at Hill Top and the Gallery.
Grizedale Getaway cycle - 7 miles - up to 3 hours
A cycle ride for the experienced to enjoy the delights of Grizedale Forest.
