I have a Small Ships Register number - what should I do?

Since April 2011 there is no longer any exemption for vessels registered on the Small Ships Register. All vessels must now register with the Windermere Registration Scheme at the standard fee and display Windermere registration numbers and annual marks.

I have sold my boat - what should I do?

Registered owners have a legal obligation, under the Windermere Byelaws, to notify us within 14 days of the sale or disposal of the vessel.

Please let us know the date of transfer and the name and address of the new owner. Either email these details to windermere.registration@lakedistrict.gov.uk, or post them to:
