Coniston Circuit

You are guided along a delightful lake shore cycleway with Coniston Old Man towering above as you travel down the western side of the lake. After a section of main road the ride crosses to the quiet east side of Coniston past Brantwood, John Ruskin's home to complete a circuit of the lake. Bike hire is available from the Boating Centre, Tel 015394 41366. The ride is hosted by British Cycling in partnership with the Lake District National Park and a Ranger will explain more about the National Park's bid to gain World Heritage status.
