This short and easy linear route to the east of Buttermere turns into the secret Rannerdale valley. If timed right a carpet of brilliant blue will delight your senses.

  • Price: Free, donations welcome
  • Length: 4.8 km, 3.0 miles
  • Duration: 2.5 hours
  • Grade: Easy plus
  • Grade description: Short walks of 3-8 km or 2-5 miles. Paths may be rough and uneven with some short ascents and descents. Walking boots may be required - check listings.
