Planning enquiries

A Duty Planner is available 9.30 - 12.30pm Monday to Friday. Call 01539 724555 or in person at our head office in Kendal. This is a first come first served basis and no appointment is necessary. You can also email planning@lakedistrict.gov.uk

Our free planning surgeries allow you to get detailed planning information from a qualified planner. Surgeries are run on a ‘first come, first served basis’, with no appointment necessary. Please check in advance if you wish to see a specific member of staff.

Due to flood damaged premises our fortnightly planning surgeries have been relocated to:

A weekly planning surgery is held at:

Gosforth

A monthly planning surgery is held on a Wednesday at the Gosforth Public Hall CA20 1EL between 12 noon and 1.30pm on:

Ullswater

Ullswater Information Centre, Glenridding: Due to flood damage at the premises we are unable to offer a planning surgery here during January, February and March. However planning surgeries are available at Keswick and Bowness on the dates shown above.
