Tree work application

How do I apply to undertake work on a protected tree?

Adequate plans must be submitted as part of the tree work application process, for both protected trees and trees in conservation areas. They will be required for the benefit of our advisers, parish councillors and other committees, residents and amenity groups.

Applying by post

You can print out and fill out by hand the Application form for tree works (opens in new window) and send to:

Tree and Woodland Adviser
Lake District National Park Authority
Murley Moss
Oxenholme Road
Kendal LA9 7RL

Latest news 7 June 2010: Unfortunately there is a problem with this form from the Planning Portal, so you can't type into it. We have informed the Portal and hope they will provide a corrected version soon.

Applying online

You need to register an account with the Planning Portal (opens in new window). You can then complete the forms, upload your documentation and submit everything online.
