Brockhole on Windermere, on the shores of Windermere lake has the ideal mix of activities on site:

  • exhibition and film about the Lake District National Park
  • stunning gardens and grounds providing the ideal outdoor learning environment
  • adventure playground, great for letting off steam at lunch time or after a long journey
  • opportunities for boat trips, watersports sessions, orienteering and high rope course challenges

Bring your school group for a day visit

Discover more about the National Park by visiting the exhibition and exploring the grounds using trails, scavenger hunts and the bird hide. Add in the adventure playground and the shop and you have a full day of enjoyable learning activities, free of charge.

Whether it’s adventure and challenge you are looking for, or learning sessions with a focus on tourism and issues in the National Park, we can help.

For key stage 4 we can focus on the impacts of tourism in the National Park and BTEC travel and tourism units
