This is now open, despite the recent bad weather.

We provide low cost self-catering accommodation in the Ullswater Valley above Glenridding which is open all year.

Situated at 1000 feet, Striding Edge Hostel provides warm and comfortable, basic group accommodation, whether you're studying, exploring, adventuring or just relaxing.

Converted from the former Greenside mine buildings, the solid stone hostel is the perfect base to access some of the most exhilarating routes in the Lake District such as Helvellyn and Striding Edge.
