We're just half a mile from Coniston village on the shores of Coniston Water. There's parking, or arrive by launch.

Coniston Launches

There are solar electric boats to seven jetties around the lake. Boats leave Coniston Boating Centre daily at half past every hour from 10.30am, with regular trips across to Brantwood. Special cruises include "Swallows and Amazons" and "Campbells on Coniston". More details on Coniston Launch (opens in new window).

This rebuilt Victorian steam-powered yacht will transport you back to an era of peace and tranquillity. It sails every day (weather permitting) with round trips taking approximately 45 minutes from Coniston Boating Centre, calling at Brantwood jetty. Buses

Coniston village is linked to various towns and villages by bus, with extra services in the summer. Then it's just a half mile amble to the lakeshore and Coniston Boating Centre. Check out the best bus for you on Cumbria County Council bus timetables (opens in new window) or take advantage of the Cross Lakes Experience for travelling without a car. Look out for Coniston Pier on the map!
