Local Development Framework

The key document in the Local Development Framework is the Core Strategy. It contains:

It will contain policies that apply to the whole of the National Park and some that apply to particular areas of the National Park.

Pre-submission consultation

The Lake District National Park Authority Core Strategy for pre-submission, ‘Sustaining the Lake District’ (opens Document Library) was prepared, prior to its submission to the Secretary of State for independent examination in 2010. Comments were invited over a six week period from 21 September - 30 October 2009

The Representations Statement summarises the main issues raised. All representations have been sent to the Secretary of State for consideration during the examination process.
