Opening times
- Gardens and grounds open all year from dawn to dusk.
- Limited access to adventure playground 13 - 22 March for installation of new equipment.
- House and shop open daily: 10am - 4.30pm
- Cafe open daily: 10am - 4.15pm
From 27 March - 1 November house, shop and cafe are open until 5pm daily.
Tasty café
Sample Cumbrian home baking and cooking at its best in our café - with seating for 100 people and additional outdoor seating on the terrace overlooking Lake Windermere.
- Sandwiches, soup and snacks available throughout the day
- Hot lunches available
- Childrens picnics available to take into the grounds
- Guide dogs are welcome in the café. Visitors with dogs are welcome to sit outside on the terrace.
Take a look at our delicious menu! We use local produce and support local suppliers whenever possible. All food products used are generically modified -free.
Special occasions and group catering
Catering is available for groups wishing to book our facilities for training events, conferences or meetings and special occasions. Please call 015394 46601 for room hire rates and to discuss your requirements.
Shop 'til you drop
Check out our great range of locally made products, perfect for presents or souvenirs. We feature prints by local artist Collin Williamson. There's plenty to appeal to children, from fluffy toy sheepdogs to bats and balls for outdoor fun.
If you’re planning some walking or cycling whilst in the Lake District our wide range of maps, walking guides and routes can help. Or treat yourself to a “coffee table” book of beautiful photographs of this special corner of England.
You can also buy plants from the Brockhole garden.
