We're just half a mile from Coniston village on the shores of Coniston Water, the lake that inspired Arthur Ransome's "Swallows and Amazons". There's parking, or arrive by launch.

- Hire a boat an electric self-drive boat
- Hire a rowing boat
- Hire a sailing dinghy or learn to sail
- Picnic on the lake shore
- Go canoeing or kayaking
- Check out other lake attractions like cafe, launches and adventure activities.
Winter opening times
Boat hire available at weekends from 9am and last hire at 4.30pm. During the week boats are available on request. All hire is weather dependant so you may wish to call us beforehand to check. Look at hire charges.
You can also launch your own boat from the centre, and we can provide seasonal or year round storage facilities for all types of boat. You can find out more on our Launching and storage charges page.
Car park and facilities
There is a pay and display car park and also toilets.
