Volunteering

Lake District National Park Authority volunteers support our work in so many ways - from maintaining paths on the fells to welcoming first-time visitors in popular villages. Our volunteers come from all over Cumbria, and we have roles to suit a range of interests. Many of our opportunities don't require previous experience, and all our roles are open to everyone aged 18 or over.

Some of our volunteer roles are highlighted below. Please see our Volunteer Roles page for information about all our opportunities and the roles for which we are currently recruiting.

We hope we can welcome you to our team of over 500 volunteers; all of whom share a love of the Lake District.
