Thank you for your opinions about the siting and scale of water bus jetties on Windermere. The closing date for responses was 20 February 2012.

Next steps

We will collate the responses to create a picture of lake users’ preferences for jetty development. These will be considered alongside the:

• 2011 Windermere Strategy
• 2009 Windermere Waterbus Needs and Preferences Study findings
• Windermere Waterfront sustainable access and movement strategy
• Results of the 2011 visitor travel survey for the LSTF project

This will put us in a much stronger position to prioritise sites of improvement. It will also help us decide where to direct funds from the LSTF project to improve lake access and travel.
