Restored gardens
The garden at Brockhole is really special and deserves a chance to look as good as it did in its heyday. Thomas Mawson, one of the most celebrated landscape architects of the Edwardian era, designed the garden to go together with the house.
What would we like to do?
- Repair the terraces and walls
- Restore the key views
- Drain the meadow
- Restore the Edwardian rainwater system
- Interpretation of the garden and grounds
- Reinstate Mawson's planting
How will we fund our hopes and aspirations for the gardens?
We are looking to set up a Friends of Brockhole Gardens and Playground Group to help fundraise around £200,000 to match fund available grants. To register your interest in joining please contact Lorraine Brierley.at lorraine.brierley@lakedistrict.gov.uk
We are also interested in hearing from potential sponsors and donors.
