In the past Brockhole was a fantastic place for events and concerts. However, the drainage system has deteriorated and needs to be repaired. Some drains have collapsed and others are clogged up with mud and tree roots.
Improving the drainage would also help maintain the important meadow designated as a County Wildlife Site by Cumbria Wildlife Trust.
We have carried out some drainage works to reinstate broken drains in the meadow area. Last year we repaired drainage to the side of the wildflower meadow. We hope to be ready to host some events in 2013.
