Background, particular interests and hobbies:

Left secondary school achieving a Scottish Lower Level qualification. Worked in New Zealand on general agriculture and forestry. Was also employed by Victorian Government (Australia) in the Plant Quarantine Division of Dept of Agriculture. Later employed in tree and forestry farming.

Returned to UK in 1972 when changed career to become a Social Worker specialising in Elderly Care, retiring in 1997. Stood for County Council in 2001.

A keen vegetable gardener and railway enthusiast. Can offer experience to the environmental problems within our community and the fight to retain our traditional scenery as much as possible in the global warming situation.
