3 Chair’s Announcements

The Chair to announce the fire safety instructions to all attendees.

4 Declarations of Interest

Members should declare any personal or prejudicial interests. These are described in the Code of Conduct adopted by the Authority on 16 July 2007 and in the Authority Handbook.

Standards for England advises that members should state the nature of any prejudicial interest (defined at paragraph 10 of the Code of Conduct) so it can be recorded in the minutes.

1 Under our approved scheme, we have received these questions about the committee's business from Parish Councillors of Troutbeck, Windermere:

a) Because of concerns regarding breaches of planning laws and the granting of retrospective applications, could you please tell us how many retrospective planning applications were made in the South Lakes area in 2010 and 2011 to date?

b) What percentage was this of all planning applications, how many retrospective planning applications were refused in the same periods?

c) What percentage of retrospective applications is ultimately approved?

d) What percentage of retrospective applications have also had site visits?
