Do you feel passionate about the Lake District National Park and want to help look after it by helping others care for what is special about the Lake District? The Volunteer Coordination Team is looking for a Volunteer Team Leader and a Part Time Volunteer Support Administrator.

The Lake District National Park is supported by more than 450 committed volunteers who dedicate their time to all areas of work across the Park from leading guided walks, to maintaining upland paths, undertaking archaeological surveys or monitoring rights of way.  The Volunteer Coordination Team are there to support volunteers, plan and deliver training, support staff in volunteer management and support volunteers in all aspects of their experience, promote volunteering internally and in the wider community, explore the development of volunteering opportunities and coordinate the delivery of the Strategy for Volunteering.

The Volunteer Team Leader will lead on the delivery of the strategy for volunteering across the Lake District National Park Authority, developing an enthusiastic, engaged and aspirational volunteer’s service. You will continue to embed the value of volunteering within our organisation, which will involve looking for new opportunities for volunteering. You will have a proven track record of delivering successful volunteering strategies, with experience in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers. You will have the ability to use your initiative to develop new ideas and strengthen and build new relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will have excellent people, problem solving and presentation skills with the confidence to liaise with people from all walks of life.
